Perfect
Attendance Awards

On Monday, September 27, 2004, our President, Dana
Krauss, Immediate Past-President, Judy Anderson
and Community Outreach Committee member, Mary Chastain, visited the 5th grade
classes at Anderson
Elementary School to
present Perfect Attendance Awards to three deserving students for the prior
school year. (Due to school privacy
policies, we are unable to share their names.)
Originally the awards were to be presented at the “end of the year”
party in May but unfortunately the party was cancelled when the school was closed
due to power outages following a storm.
The three students were presented with
special wooden, jewel inlaid “treasure” boxes from India picked out especially for the
students by Community Outreach Committee Chair, Susan Miller and her world traveler
brother. Our presenters shared with the classes the importance of perfect
attendance, how much we, as office managers, value employees who always report to work and how these
three students were developing a strong work ethic that would be very beneficial
for their future. These statements
resulted in smiles and nodding heads of agreement from their teachers and
counselor, Berneice Jackson. All
students were encouraged to strive for perfect attendance during the current
school year.
The presenters all agreed that the afternoon was another
rewarding experience in our ongoing partnership with the very special students
and faculty of Anderson
Elementary School.
